This, my friends, looks like real value for money.
Best Bet: Gautam Gambhir to be highestrun-scorer for KKR at 11/4- WilliamHill.
Best Bet: Andre Russell to be the Man of the Match at 13/2- PaddyPower.
Best Bet: Manan Vohra to be highestrun-scorerat 7/2- SkyBet.
Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab lock horns today in the IPL. The fact that he is aproper all-rounder (and a World Cup winning hero) and is bang in form, provides a mouthwatering prospect for everyone (including me).
All in all, this seems to be a good market for betting for Batsmen, so hopefully blue skies and a cracking pitch to go with it.
Best Batsmen for KKR: There can be only one winner on this one, Mr. Andre Russel, brilliant haircut, bowls over 140 km and smashes everything out of the park. He seems to be getting into that Pre-World Cup (2011 one) mode, and as his role looks like to be one for anchoring the innings. Knight Riders have had a good start, winning two of their three very convincingly whereas the Kings have been dreadful in two of their lastthree( though some of their flair players looked better in the last match). I wish we could also bet on the fact whether Gautam is going to smile if he scores a century or not. Heres a gamblers guide to the best bets (Best betting odds) for the match.

Best Batsmen for Kings:One bright spark for the Punjab team has been the form of Manan Vohra, he has been quietly consistent in a very inconsistent outfit. Also, the fact that Maxwell has decided to leave his brains in Australia helps. Theres potentially great return if Kolkata bats first, in the kind of form they are in 200 seems gettable.
Man of the Match:Enter Mr. Bright future for the youngster if he keeps his form.
Best Bet: Kolkata to score more than 200 at 4/1- Betfair.
Cheeky Bet of the day: Back Kolkata for 2 units at 8/11 in Betfair.
Based on Form:Theres a not a lot to read into among their past battles stats (KKR have won 10 and Kings have won 7) , especially because the crux of the teams keep changing. The Kolkata Knight Riders batting looks especially strongwith the openers, both Gambhir (going through some kind of a purple patch) and Uthappa (looking as stylish as ever) starting well, and Manish Pandey coming in next. But, theirform in IPL 9 makes for a very interesting read. I will be going with the KKR on this one.
Team Batting First: The games at Mohali in this years IPL have been reasonable high scoring affairs. The match is live from 20:00 IST (14:30 GMT). Grumpy himself,Gautam Gambhir
